Insurance for all hires available for £1

We are pleased to introduce the £1 insurance policy for all our customers peace of mind.

Insurance for Hire Equipment

From when equipment is taken away from Futurist until it is returned (or delivered and collected) the responsibility for the equipment becomes that of the hirer. Therefore we strongly recommend that you have insurance to cover the full replacement value, of all the equipment. Futurist Sound & Lighting ltd can extend its insurance policy to cover the equipment whilst under your responsibility. For the set fee of £1 per hire, Futurist can offer insurance with an excess of £250 per claim.

The policy covers: “Accidental loss of or damage to equipment arising from any cause not excluded by the policy.”

Principle Exclusions:

* Terrorism, War Risks
* Wear, tear, gradual deterioration
* Intentional acts or willful neglect
* Unaccountable losses discovered on inventory or stock checks
* Excluded parts – Light sources and other expendable parts
* Insufficiency or unsuitability of packing or preparation of property insured
* Losses from unattended vehicles subject to compliance with vehicle warranty

Futurist Become Rosco Dealer for Northern England

Futurist are now the dealer in the North of England for Rosco Products; which includes the e-colour range of Lee Filter equivalent gels.

Rosco has been in the forefront of colour filters since the company’s inception in 1910, winning several awards for technical achievements in the development of colour filters.

Rosco offers one of the world’s largest ranges of plastic colour filters, high temperature dichroic glass filters, coloured sleeves for fluorescent lamps and colour filter accessories.

Rosco is also one of the biggest producers of gobos in the world. As well as producing the industry’s most comprehensive catalogue of more than 1,800 standard gobos, Rosco’s in-house gobo manufacturing facility also specialises in the manufacture of individual custom made, high resolution metal and glass gobos.

The company also produces a wide range of gobo rotators and motion effects units including the X24 X-Effects projector, which produces large scale rippling light effects. Other fixtures and accessories include the I-Cue lighting fixture, iPro image projector, Vortex 360 Dual Rotator and a wide range of controllers, accessories and connection solutions.

We have moved to a brilliant new premises which will be our home for years to come. It is a great new facility with plenty of customer parking, easy ground level access, just minutes from the city centre and the M621.
